The veteran has long maintained that playing alongside Michael Jordan was never a godly experience which many other former and current players have described instead as a challenging one. This has now shed light on the legacy of His Airness and his treatment of fellow players. Furthermore, while MJ is idolized as the GOAT of the game, others have come out to criticize his extremely competitive nature and willingness to win at all costs, as Thomas’ experience is a prime example.

Charles Barkley reveals the real reason Isiah Thomas was not part of the Dream Team

The Dream Team of the 1992 Olympics remains a topic of discussion 32 years after the notable omission of Isiah Thomas. Charles Barkley, speaking to Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay, revealed that Michael Jordan was the reason he failed to make the roster.

I can't speak for the other guys, but they never asked me personally about Isiah Thomas. Isiah Thomas probably should have been on the team. They asked Michael Jordan, did he have anything to do with it? And then it actually just came out in the last year where he said, ‘I'll play as long as Isiah doesn't play.’ Charles Barkley said on Club Shay Shay

Michael Jordan, for reasons best known to him, didn’t want Thomas on the team, as Barkley revealed. However, Barkley was of the opinion that had it been up to him, he would have given it a green light as Thomas was coming off the back of an impressive season.

Furthermore, this revelation by Chuck adds more context to the long-standing rumors about the friction existing between both MJ and Thomas. While MJ is yet to say anything about this latest add-on to the ‘beef’, all the fans and media can do is wait.
