Oklahoma City Thunder: Every NBA Player Should Hear What Jalen Williams Said About Staying Happy
Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports

NBA Players have one of the best jobs in the world. It’s not easy work at all, but playing a sport –any sport actually – while getting paid handsomely is a dream the rest of us can only dream of. Oklahoma City Thunder small forward Jalen Williams is not taking his job for granted, and he made that clear following his team’s 117-95 win against the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of their second-round series at home Tuesday night.

“I get paid millions of dollars to dribble a basketball up and down the court. It’s hard not to be happy,” Williams said (via Brandon Rahbar of the Daily Thunder).

It’s hard to argue against that. While Williams is far from being the best-paid player in the NBA, he’s still collecting $4.55 million this season. He also stands to earn a salary of $4.78 million in the 2024-25 NBA campaign after the Thunder picked up their option on him for that campaign last October.

Jalen Williams Has Been an Integral Piece for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Playoffs

Back in Game 1, Williams scored 18 points and recorded five boards and five dimes with a block and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes of action. So far in the playoffs, he is averaging 20.6 points on 50.6 field goal percentage, 6.8 rebounds, and 5.0 assists through five games.
